  FREE DOWNLOAD 2021 WINTER DX SURVEY It has been four years since I last made publicly available my Winter DX Survey. It is something I undertake annually because the reception patterns here "down under" are quite intriguing. So, I decided that it might be about time  I made this year's monitoring observations available again to any interested MEDXR readers. After three months of monitoring research, I've gathered together information on the lower high frequencies during my winter DX season. Focusing on afternoon reception and involving more than 45 days of listening, I have compiled notes and a list of all stations monitored during that time. As most of these stations are transmitting to parts of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America, many of the listings gathered in this document will be easily heard by MEDXR readers located in the northern hemisphere!   RADIO AUSTRALIA: NEW SHEPPARTON ANTENNA PHOTOS Occasionally, I hear Facebook rumours that the antennas at the former Radio Australia's Shepparton transmitter site have all been dismantled and the buildings have been demolished. These comments are nothing but guesses masquerading as fact!! So, I went to Shepparton see for myself. My wife and I have just returned from a week-long holiday at Numurkah, a 30 km drive north of the rural city of Shepparton. Of course, I just had to stop off at the intersection of Verney Rd and the Goulburn Valley Hwy, home of the former transmitter site. To my joy, I found the antennas still very much standing, the main transmitter building still there, and the feeder network to the antennas still in place. Out came the camera for a few shots in the dying light of that winter afternoon.
