THE TOP TEN OF 2020 & 2021 (THE COVID YEARS!)

Image
In the radio shack with the soon-to-be-discontinued World Radio TV Handbook THE TOP TEN OF 2020 & 2021 (THE COVID YEARS!) In the past, I have done an annual "Top Ten" of the most popular posts on the Mount Evelyn DX Report. BUT.....last year I completely forgot to write about the most popular posts in 2020. Why? Oh, I dunno! I didn't catch COVID and I don't have COVID brain, so I can't blame the pandemic. Like everyone, the past two years have been difficult, unsettling, and somewhat confusing. And for some of our readers to this blog, close family and friends have been lost to the disease. It's been tough. Very tough. What 2022 holds for us is anyone's guess. But it can probably be summed up in this little cartoon: So, this year I decided to resurrect the Top Ten most popular posts of the MEDXR blog across both '20 and '21. We will call it the COVID YEARS TOP TEN. 😲   I find it really interesting to see which of the posts from this blog cap...

VIDEO - KSDA TRANSMITTER SITE IN GUAM

Image
KSDA TRANSMITTER SITE SHORT VIDEO FEATURE Back in an October blog post, I mentioned the 50th anniversary of the worldwide broadcaster, Adventist World Radio. Last week, I stumbled across a short video (Dur: 3:00 min) showing the transmitters and other equipment at AWR's site in Agat, Guam. Using the allocated callsign of KSDA, the Guam station began broadcasting in March 1987 with Asia as its target. The video is possibly 15 years old - you can tell because all the computer monitors are old CRT screens!! 😁  But, I suspect that the transmitting gear will be pretty much the same and still in use today.
