DX FROM AROUND THE WORLD As we come to the last few hours of 2014, here's some notes from my log book gathered over the past week. 120 mb AUSSIE DX Not really DX for me but certainly for many of our international readers interested in these stations! 2325   AUSTRALIA. ABC - Tennant Creek NT. Local breakfast program 1927, 5 min news 1930, then back to breakfast programming. Runs // 2485 kHz ABC - Katherine NT which is the stronger signal. As the morning light took hold, both signals faded by 2000 (7am daylight time), Dec 29. 2368.5   AUSTRALIA. R. Symban - Peats Ridge NSW. Continuous Greek music at 0930 with a fair signal on Dec 27. Some days during summer, it can be heard fading in around 0815, while other days its more like around 0930. Then noted again on Dec 29 with a fair signal at 1926 with long Greek music items, but faded into the morning by 2000. AFRICAN DX 5066.33   D. R. CONGO. R. Candip - Bunia. It's that time of the year when the big fat guy visits all the good boys and girls around the world. Well, actually there's two big fat guys. The one in red and the other one in red and….um ….I guess….light black??? In the last days before Christmas, I've completed a survey of Voice of Korea broadcasts, and the results are listed in the table below. All observations were made in the last 36 hours. This is not intended as a complete schedule of all VoK transmissions. Summertime at Mount Evelyn means that most of the daytime operations from this station (0300-0600 UTC) do not propagate here. But in my evenings and early mornings, there's plenty to choose from in these broadcasts. All transmissions are from Kujang (200 kW), except for 3250 kHz from Pyongyang (100 kW) and 6070 kHz from Kanggye (250 kW). In my evenings and early mornings, reception is...
