5905  RUSSIA. R. Rossii - Moskva-Taldom. Fair level with ID at 2000 in Russian.

5915   ZAMBIA. ZNBC 1 - Lusaka. Good signal and in the clear with local announcements and lively African pops at 2010.

5964.75  MALAYSIA.  R. TV Malaysia - Kajang. Klasik FM programming at 2020 with Malay songs and announcements. Fair signal

6050  KUWAIT.  R. Kuwait.  Arabic  service 2040 with a strong signal, s/off 2101 which then uncovered Turkey's much weaker strength French service.

6055   RWANDA. R. Rwanda - Kigali. French service with great Afro pops at 2040, nice signal today.

6080   SAO TOME. VOA - Pinheira. Beating all of Iran's Spanish service, China's CNR 1 service and Kuwait's Arabic service at 2050 with lively West African dance music and energetic English announcements. Fair signal throughout, although it was starting to get a dose of the fades by 2100.

6110   ETHIOPIA.  R. Fana - Addis Ababa. Scheduled Sunday programming in Amharic first noted at 2050 to s/off 2100. Fair level and not bothered at all by PBS Xizang's early s/on.

7335   TUNISIA. R. TV Tunisia - Sfax. Local songs and Arabic announcements at 0640, fair signal

17625  CHINA.  CNR 2 - Beijing.  I don't often write about China, especially on the 16mb where they can be heard all over the dial! However, my observation this afternoon (Mandarin at 0615) indicated that they were over-modulating somewhat!! The signal was strong but not really booming like it sometimes can - NOT "bending the needle" on the receiver, but putting in a solid and consistent signal with no fading. However, the audio was noted 10kHz either side of the registered channel. They could even be heard on SSB (narrower bandwidth) 10 kHz away on both sides! And, only listed as 150 kW. Not sure what's going on here but perhaps the engineers on duty are getting a bit excited!!

17780   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni. S/on with the English service at 0630 to Asia. Fair level here .

17800   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES and RWANDA. DW - Dhabbaya noted with very weak signal at 0550 with the Portuguese service, up until 0600 when the Kigali tier takes over for the English service and a better signal here. A slightly different beam heading made all the difference!

19010  KUWAIT.  R. Azadi - Kuwait. Pashto service at 0545, fair signal with occasional deep fades.
