MORE FREAKIN' NEW FREQS! - A13 Changes Continue


Thanks to everyone for the lovely feedback to my last post (New Freqs - A13 Season Goes BANG!) where I listed nearly 80 new entries relating to changes for the beginning of the A13 Transmission Period.

 Below are some 44 more observations of new frequencies and other changes which I found interesting over the last few days. If you have any comments or additional observations to make, I'd love to hear from you, either here in the MEDXR Blog or on the Facebook page.
6040   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Russian 1930-2030, NL ex English at this time and appears to be NF (ex 4005 Kamalabad)

9320   IRAN  VOIRI - Kamalabad.  Arabic noted 1915, NF

9375   FRANCE.  R. Algerienne - Issoudun. French 2000-2200, NF ex 9395.

9390   THAILAND.  R. Thailand - Ban Dung. 1900-2000 English now here, NF ex 9585, fair signal for the European service - should be better in Europe!!

9400   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad.  English service now here 1930-2030, NF and appears to be ex 6040 (Kamalabad) which now has Russian at that time.

9430   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  VoV - Dhabayya.  1930-2030 German, NF ex 6175.

9460   TURKEY.  VoTurkey - Emirler. Turkish at 1940 to past 2030, NF and appears to replace either/or both 5980 and 6120.

9480   ALBANIA.  CRI - Cerrik.  French 1800-2000, NF but not sure if it is a NF or an additional frequency to the existing service.

9525   CHINA.  CRI - Beijing. Russian now here at 2000 s/on for the 2-hr Russian service, NF.

9565   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Russian 1930-2030, NF and // 6040.

9610   NTH MARIANAS.  RFA - Tinian. 2100-2200 Korean, NF

9610   GERMANY.  AWR - Nauen. French service 2000-2030, NF ex 9805.

9635   TURKEY.  VoTurkey - Emirler. French 1930-2020 s/off, NF and seems to replace last season's 2030-2130 French service on 5970.

9685   SPAIN.   REE - Noblejas.  French service on weekdays only 2000-2100, NF and seems to replace 9570 which now carries Arabic at that time.

9745   NTH MARIANAS.  RFA - Saipan. NF for the Mandarin service between 1700 and 2100 with jamming.

9760   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan. Spanish 2030-2130, NF ex 9630.

9830   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad.  2030-2125 s/off in Albanian, NF ex 9605 but probably a worse choice as it crashes into CNR 1 here.

11610   GERMANY.  AWR - Wertachtal. Arabic service 1900-2100, NF and big signal.

11615   SPAIN.   REE - Noblejas.  2000-2100 in French, NF

11635   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang.  Korean 2000-2100, NF, mixed with Russia's French service.

11635   MOLDOVA.  VoR - Kishinev.  1800-2100 French, NF

11660   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. 1830-1900 for the Arabic service, NF ex 11860

11705   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  BBC - Dhabbaya. 1830-1900 in minority African languages. Excellent level and NF, probably replacing the Cyprus 9815 outlet.

11720   PHILIPPINES.  Philippines BS - Tinang. Noted at 1850 in Tagalog (no English at this time), NF and fair reception.

11740   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad. Albanian service 1830-1930, NF ex 9605

11750   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan. English 1930-2030, NF 

11765   FRANCE.  R. Algerienne - Issoudun. French 1900-2100, NF ex 11775

11775   CHINA.  CRI - Kashi. German service 1800-2000, NF ex 9615.

11865   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali. English 2000-2057, NF and nice signal.

11925   GERMANY.  VOA - Wertachtal.  s/on 1900-1930 for the service in the Tigrinya language. NF and in the clear.

11940   CHINA.  CRI - Kunming. 2030-2100 Bulgarian service, NF ex 7320 and runs // with 9720.

11945   GERMANY.  AWR - Wertachtal. Noted at s/on 1900 in the Wolof language, NF ex 11860

11965   JAPAN.  R. Japan - Yamata.  Japanese 1900-2200 to ME and NAf, NF ex 9670.

11975   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni. English service 2030-2100, NF and a big signal here!

12015   KOREA. VoK - Kujang.  Now is KCBS in Korean 2000-2050, NL ex French!

12025   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan.  French service 1830-1930, NF ex 13650

12050   EGYPT.  R. Cairo - Abis. 2000-2115 in French with crappy audio, NF ex 11560 and collides with WEWN.

12080   IRAN.  VOIRI - Zahedan.  Arabic here for much of the day, NF and clashes with RA-Brandon QLD for some of that time. Noted here at 2050.

12110   TAJIKISTAN. VoR - Dushanbe.  Arabic here at 2030 to past 2115 (past their registered s/off). NF and believed to be ex 9340.

12140   SRI LANKA.  VOA - Iranawila. Tigrinya service 1900-1930 and // 11925 via Wertachtal) but with a 1 second delay between the two txers.

13720   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan.  1830-1930 Hausa, NF ex 13730

13740   FRANCE.  RFI - Issoudun. French noted 1915 to 2000 s/off, NF

13870   GERMANY.  VOA - Nauen.  The Tigrinya service again 1900-1930, and //  11925 and 12140 - 3 different txer sites!! Must be an important language! (spoken in Ethiopia and Eritrea by around 5 million people!)

 15425   RADIO FREE SARAWAK (Txer location unknown, believed to be Sri Lanka). Changed frequency from 15430 for the transmission beginning at 1100 in the Iban language. I suspect this is to avoid Romania at that time (although RRI is hardly heard here).

    Great list of observations here again Rob and certainly most useful for me anyway even if Melbourne hears a little differently from Port Macquarie, it is very helpful and thank you for sharing! Best regards! Michael Stevenson

    Thanks for the feedback Michael. I suspect that most of these international broadcasters should be heard pretty strongly in Port Macquarie as well as Melbourne. Most of them are using "serious" power output.
