NEW FREQS.....NEW FREQS - A13 Season goes BANG!!!

Well, its been a busy two days as I checked out the many frequency changes, transmitter changes, broadcast time changes, and even language changes for the A13 transmission season. I've made many notes and observations, and these are listed below. There are nearly 80 entries here. 

 We can expect some fluidity in the changes as stations who sign on with the HFCC jostle with those who haven't. And then there are those broadcasters who just do their own thing regardless of anyone else!! There are bound to be some adjustments to what I have presented below and I'll note these as they arise.

9425   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang. Korean  to Europe 2000-2050, NF ex 9325. Good signal.

9435   ARMENIA.  VoR - Erevan.  Spanish noted 0255 to past 0400, NF and believed to be ex 9395.

9445   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang.  Chinese 2100-2155, NF ex 9345. Squashed by AIR - Bangalore on the same freq.

9505   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. Farsi 0330-0400, NF ex 6145.

9715   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan.  Kurdish broadcast 0330-0430, NF

9770   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni.  Romanian 0400-0500, NF

9875   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang. Korean to ME 2000-2050, NF ex 9975. Big signal. Also at 2100-2155 Chinese.

11635   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang. Korean to ME 2000-2050, NF ex 11535, fair level but clashes with VoR - Kichinev which must make the Russians very happy. Also at 2100-2155 Chinese.

11660   IRAN. VOIRI - Zahedan. Arabic noted at 0245 to 0530, NF

11875   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan. Arabic 0330-0430, Hebrew 0430-0500, NF ex 11870

11925   IRAN  VOIRI - Kamalabad. Russian service at 0300-0330, NF ex 11925, and // 13660 also NF.

11930  BELARUS.  R. Belarus - Minsk.  Noted at 0435 in Belarussian. NF.

11940   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Dari service at s/on 0300 to 0630, NF ex 9570, and // 13740 also NF.

11980   TURKEY.  VoTurkey - Emirler. 0400-0600 Turkish, NF ex 31 mb.

12025   BOTSWANA.  VOA - Moepeng Hill. English 0400-0500, NF.

12045   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali 0500-0600 English, NF ex 11800.

12070   RUSSIA.  R. Rossii - Moscow.  Russian 0500, NF

13585   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  KBS - Dhabayya. Arabic service 2000-2100. Strong.

13640   CHINA.  CRI - Jinhua. Japanese service 2345-2400, NF ex 9695.

13660   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan. 30 min Russian service from 0300, NF ex 9510.

13680   JAPAN.  R. Japan - Yamata. Japanese service 2130, NF perhaps replacing 11665?

13695   FRANCE.  RFI - Issoudun. Earlier transmission now, French noted at 0500 (used to s/on at 0700)

13710   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan. 2100-2200 Japanese NF ex 7395.

13710   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad.  0430-0600 Turkish, NF ex 7270.

13740   IRAN.  VOIRI - Ahwaz. S/on 0300 in Dari, heard past 0600. NF ex 11860.

13750   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad.  S/on 0500-0530 Russian, NF believed to be ex Sirjan 13680.

13760   KOREA. VoK - Kujang.  English service noted 2145 to 2155. Also at 2200 in Spanish.

13780   CUBA.  R. Havana, Spanish 2300-2400, NF

13790   NTH MARIANA IS.  RFA - Saipan. Mandarin 0520-0700, NF plus jamming.

13850   EGYPT.  R. Cairo - Abis. Arabic general program noted 0515 to 0700, NF ex 9905.

13860   GERMANY.  R. Farda - Lampertheim. Farsi 0520 to past 0730, NF.

15090   KUWAIT.  R. Azadi - Kuwait.  Pashto service 0930-1030, NF and // 17690.

15100   PAKISTAN.. R. Pakistan - Txer presumed to be Islamabad. Nepalese at 1020 with the telltale crappy audio. Appears to have signed off around 1045, and also appears to be NF ex 15105.

15100   CHINA.  CRI - Jinhua, NF for the Cantonese service at 0000.

15125   CHINA.  CRI - Beijing, English 0000-0200, NF ex 15145.

15130   FRANCE.  R. Japan - Issoudun. Japanese service 1900-2100, NF

15150   IRAN.  VOIRI - Zahedan.  Appears to be NF for the Arabic service, noted at 1025.

15155   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. 2030-2100 in French, NF ex 11690.

15160   SPAIN.  REE - Noblejas. Spanish 0000, NF for their summer season?

15180   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang. English service 1000-1056, NF.

15225   EGYPT.  R. Cairo - Abu Zaabal. Arabic service now here 2000 s/on, NF

15240   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni. French service 1000-1100, NF and // 17795.

15245   KOREA.  VoK - Kujang. Weak in French at 2045, then English at 2100, and Spanish at 2200, NF.

15275   THAILAND. R. Thailand - Ban Dung. English 0000-0100, NF

15290   LOCATION UNKNOWN.  NHK's Interval signal first noted 1043 and played continuously to past 1210! No programming heard throughout this period. Obviously testing, maybe something will develop. Needs further checking.

15300  RUSSIA.  VoR - Novosibirsk (presumed). Chinese noted at 1040, NF.

15320   THAILAND.  R. Mashaal - Ban Dung. Pashto service s/on 1100, NF

15340   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni.  English 1100-1200, NF and not heard on 15430. Runs // 17670.

15360   SRI LANKA.  R. Mashaal - Iranawila. Pashto service // 15320, but much stronger here 1105, NF.

15430   R. Free Sarawak. Txer location unconfirmed.  NF ex 11600. No sign of Romania scheduled for English to Africa at this time.

15480   OMAN.  BBC - A'Seela. Arabic service 2000-2100, NF. AWR Meyerton no longer here in Arabic at this time.

15515   GUAM. AWR via KSDA - Agat. Mandarin service 1133, NF.

15565   THAILAND.  VOA - Ban Dung. Mandarin 0000-0100, NF with light jamming.

15605   SRI LANKA.  AWR - Trincomalee.  In an unidentified SE Asian language 1130-1200, NF.

15620   GUAM.  AWR - Agat. Presumed to be in the Sundanese language 1130-1200, NF ex 15495.

15670   RUSSIA.  VoR - Novosibirsk. 1145 English, NF

15680   THAILAND.  R. Farda - Ban Dung. Farsi 1030-1230, NF and // 15690.

17515   CHINA.  CRI - Kashi. Italian 0600-0700, NF ex 15620.

17530   CHINA.  CRI - Xian. Mandarin 0900-1000, NF. Also // 17540 also NF.

17530   IRAN.  VOIRI - Sirjan.  Spanish 0530-0630, NF ex 15330.

17540   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan.  Hausa service 0600-0700, NF ex 17810 but clashes with CRI's English service!

17550   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad. Arabic service noted 0615, NF but clashes with the established CNR 1 broadcast!

17630   SRI LANKA.  R. Farda - Iranawila.  Noted 0620 in Farsi, NF

17640   SEYCHELLES.  BBC - Mahe. English 0600-0800. This used to be 0500-0800 via Cyprus which, of course, is now gone.

17660   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Bosnian 0530-0630, NF replaces 17560 and 15500.

17670   SRI LANKA.  R. Azadi - Iranawila. Pashto 0530-0630, Dari 0630-0700, NF

17690   THAILAND.  R. Azadi - Ban Dung. Dari 0630-0730, Pashto service 0930-1030, NF.

17720   CUBA.  R. Havana. Spanish 2120 NF and // 17705.

17745   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti.  Spanish 2100-2200, NF but not sure what it replaces - perhaps 15160?

17765   KUWAIT.  RFA - Kuwait. Tibetan 0600-0700, NF but under CNR 1 powerhouse jamming.

17785   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti.  French 1000-1100, NL ex Romanian.

17795   ROMANIA.  RRI - Galbeni.  French 1000-1100, NF.

17870   UNID. Believed to be BBC - A'Seela, Oman with the Dari service 0930-1030 but too weak to ID. Romania appears to have gone from here at this time.

17880   THAILAND.  R. Farda - Ban Dung. Farsi service heard at 1005, NF

21500   MARIANA ISLANDS.  RFA - Tinian. Tibetan service 0630 to s/off 0700 with jamming.

21500   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti.  English 0530-0600, NF ex 21600 and ex 0630-0700.

21690   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  RFA - Dhabayya. Tibetan service s/on 0600 to 0700, NF and with jamming.

21525   IRAN.  VOIRI - site unknown. Swahili 0830-0930 NF ex 21510.

21715   MARIANA ISLANDS.  RFA - Tinian. Mandarin service 0630 with jamming.

    Excellent results Rob indeed, you have been a busy boy, wish I had this amount of time to have a good radio play, guess I will have to wait a few more years until my retirement if there is any shortwave left to hear at that time!!! Keep up the great work! Regards! Michael Stevenson
