MEDXR Gets a Refresh!
After nine months of online operation, the Mount Evelyn DX Report has received a bit of a facelift today. I've always been of the philosophy that "Less is More"! I don't like looking at websites that are all-singing-all-dancing-all-flashing with lots of extra stuff that has nothing to do with anything!! These sites are fields of distraction, with the real message being lost!
But today I have modified the old view significantly. In summary, here are the main changes:
- The site home page http://medxr.blogspot.com.au now features a summary of recent articles at the top of the page. Scrolling down reveals images and snippets of older posts for you to explore or refer back to at a future date.
- Clicking on an article opens it up into a new screen for easier reading and adding comments.
- The top right corner of the home page now has a search box. This will make it so much easier to find past articles on broadcasters, station news, loggings or topical articles.
- Roll your cursor over to the thin black line that runs down the right hand side of the window. There you will see a pop-out menu that reveals some additional features, including:
- A Translate button that will make it easier for all our international readers for whom English is not their preferred language
- A list of the most Popular Posts by number of hits
- A Subscribe button to notify you of regular updates
I hope you find these changes useful and make viewing easier. Let me know what you think! Your feedback is important.
73 and good DX
