Over the past week, I gave myself a little project of monitoring the Voice of Vietnam transmissions as they are heard here at Mount Evelyn, (south eastern Australia). It's been an interesting exercise. It was also surprising to hear most broadcasts throughout the 24-hour listening period.
Several transmissions were missed because of either sleep (a necessary occupation!!) or no propagation into my location e.g. the Vietnamese broadcast on 7285 kHz at 0000 UTC is 10am local time and the 41mb is closed to Asia at that time. However, most other transmissions were observed and recorded in the survey.
The survey can be downloaded here for your own personal use. It is a small file of 134 kb in MS Word doc format so that, should you wish, you can change and adapt the information for your own monitoring of VoV at your location.
