9385   NTH MARIANAS. RFA - Tinian. Korean service here at 2115, NF ex 9610, fair to poor signal Oct 28.

9415   CHINA.  CRI - Xian.  English to EAs 0850 through to 1000, NF (could be ex 11620), fair on Oct 29.

9435   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti.  English to ENAm at 2144, NF (possibly ex 13800?), fair level Oct 28.

9450   CHINA. RCI - Urumqi. Esperanto service at 1105, NF ex 15110 to EAs, good signal and // 7210, Oct 30.

9485   GERMANY. VOA - Biblis. Oromo service 1740 to EAf, NF ex 11925-Lampertheim, good level and // 9320, Oct 29.

9575   JAPAN.  NHK - Yamata.  Mandarin at 1538, NF ex 9575, good level Oct 31.

9580   SINGAPORE.  RA - Kranji.  English to SEAs 1622, NF ex 9540, fair signal but rather scratchy in audio quality, suddenly off 1630 in the middle of an interview. Classy operation these days!! (cough, cough!)  Oct 29.

9610   TURKEY.  VoT - Emirler.  NF for this Au/SEAs service at 2150. Lovely signal, Oct 28 but not sure how this will go as we get into high summer!

9615   USA.  KNLS - Anchor Pt. At 1030 with English on this NF ex 9655 for this time period. HFCC lists this as Mandarin, but apparently the station has other ideas! Would be a fair signal if not for severe QRM CNR 2 on 9620, Oct 30.

9615   CHINA.  CRI - Urumqi. German 1910 to Eu, NF ex 11650, fair level Oct 30.

9635   ENGLAND.  IBRA R. - Woofferton. Listed by HFCC as Arabic at 1840, but sounds like some other related language, perhaps Fur which is spoken by some of the population in Western Sudan. Has some Arabic sounding words. NF ex 12070, good signal Oct 30.

9655   GERMANY. VOA - Biblis. Kurdish at 1744, NF ex 9850, solid signal Oct 29.

9665   TURKEY.  TRT - Emirler.  Arabic 1530 with ID and address, NF ex 9540 and one hour later. Fair but QRM Pyongyang co-channel, Oct 31.

9670   JAPAN.  NHK - Yamata. Japanese to NAf and ME 1940, NF ex 11965, poor signal Oct 30.

9680   JAPAN.  NHK - Yamata.  Japanese service beaming to the Indian subcontinent at 1220, NF and fairly poor reception due to Jakarta's National 4 network co-channel, Oct 28.

9700   TURKEY.  VoT - Emirler. Turkish to As, NF and believed to be ex 11750 at 0655, excellent signal, Oct 28.

9755   SOUTH AFRICA.  RFI - Meyerton. The 30 min Portuguese service at 1728, s/off 1730, NF ex 9910, Oct 29.

9755   BOTSWANA.  VOA - Moepeng Hill. S/on 1730 immediately after RFI-Meyerton vacated the channel, Oromo service to EAf, NF ex 12005-Pinheira and // 9320 on Oct 29.

9765   NEW ZEALAND.  RNZI - Rangitaiki. Pacific service at 0845, NF ex 9700. Also noted at 1600 for the Cooks/Tonga/Samoa, NF ex 6135, Oct 29.

9770  AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. Dyula service to WAf with ID and address 2026, s/off 2029. NF ex 11955, lovely signal Oct 30.

9780   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti.  English s/on 1800 to Eu, NF ex 11740 and one hour later, fair and in the clear on Oct 30.

9800   RWANDA. DW - Kigali. At 1230 in French to Af, NF ex 12060, fair level. Runs // 17800 which is now also Kigali for the B13 period (x Woofferton) but the signal was very poor there, Oct 28. Also, DW - Kigali, English to Af 2010, NF ex 11865, solid signal Oct 28. And again DW - Kigali in French to Af 1720, NF ex 9810, good signal, Oct 29.

9830   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. French service to WAf at 2045 with numerous IDs, NF ex 15155, fair signal but QRM Malaysia 9835, Oct 28. Also, English at 2120 via Moosbrunn, NF ex 11955 but QRM CNR co-channel and Malaysia 9835, Oct 28. And again, Farsi to EAs at s/on 1630, NF ex 15150 and again QRM CNR 1, Oct 29.

9840   OMAN.  KBS - Dhabayya.  Arabic service to NAf 2018, NF (and perhaps ex 13585??), good signal but QRM RTM Sarawak 9835, Oct 28.

9860   JAPAN.  NHK - Yamata.  Impressive signal at 1705 for Japanese to SAs, leaving CNR 1 mumbling underneath! NF ex 13710, Oct 29.

9890   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  RA - Dhabayya. English to Indonesia, NF ex 9610, s/on 2200 to 2330. Strong on Oct 28

11640   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. English to Asia, NF ex 11635 and providing severe QRM to RTI co-channel. Deliberate perhaps? Oct 30.

11700   AUSTRALIA. HCJB - Kununurra. Various SEAs languages between 1130 and 1215 on this NF ex 15490, Oct 28.

11750   ALBANIA. CRI - Cerrik.  English at 0652, strong on this NF to NAf, Oct 28.

11750   SOUTH AFRICA.  AWR - Meyerton. Ibo service 1950 to WAf, NF ex 15205, weak but very readable with heavy preaching, Oct 30.

11750   GERMANY.  AWR - Nauen. Tibetan to As at 1537, NF and powerful signal Oct 31.

11770   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. English to NAm 0335, NF. Good level but with a het, possibly from CNR Urumqi, Oct 28.

11770   SOUTH AFRICA.  AWR - Meyerton. Preaching in the Masai service to EAf at 1754, NF ex 9600 (Nauen). Quagmire of a frequency due to PBS Xinjiang and some type of jamming noise. Both AWR and PBS s/off 1800 leaving just the jamming! Oct 29.

11785  UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. IBRA - Dhabayya. At 1751 with Afro style hymns in the Swahili service to EAf, NF ex 11875, nice signal to s/off 1800, Oct 29.

11800   SOUTH AFRICA.  NHK - Meyerton.  30 min English service at 1813 to WAf, NF ex 11885. Weak level on Oct 30.

11800   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali. Swahili 1547 to Af, NF ex 12025, fair with QRM RFA and jamming 11795 on Oct 31.

11805   SRI LANKA.  AWR - Trincomalee. Urdu now here to SAs at 1608, NF and believed to be ex 15260-Guam, strong on Oct 31.

11820   GERMANY. VOA - Lampertheim. NF ex 11985 for Kurdish at 1747 and // 9655, Oct 29.

11860   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. Arabic to NAf 1845, NF ex 11660, fair signal but local noise here Oct 30.

11875   FRANCE.  RFI - Issoudun. French to NWAf at 1920, NF (not sure what it replaces though), fair level Oct 30.

11895   THAILAND.  BBC - Nakhon Sawan.  Good signal on this NF for CAs in English between 1100-1300, Oct 28.

11910   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn.  Urdu to SAs 1615, NF and // 11805, exceptionally strong Oct 31.

11955   FRANCE.  R. Algerienne - Issoudun. Appears to be a NF here at 1850 until s/off 1856 in Arabic but audio quality was a bit substandard for Issoudun! Oct 30.

11995   GERMANY.  VOA - Biblis.  Kurdish service 0542, NF ex 11905-SM Galeria, fair on Oct 28.

11995   NTH MARIANAS.  RFA - Agingan Pt.  Korean at 2148, NF ex 11945 (which was the Tinian site), // 9385, Oct 28

12045   ENGLAND.  IBRA R. - Woofferton. Arabic at 1705 to ME, NF ex 11915, big signal Oct 31.

12070   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali. Hausa service at 0649 to WAf, NF ex 12045, good level on Oct 28. Also, at 1815 in Hausa via Kigali, NF ex 12045, fair level on Oct 29.

12070   SAO TOME.  VOA - Pinheira.  S/on 0700 for Hausa, NF ex 11885. Good signal Oct 28. So, Hausa speakers get both DW and VOA, one broadcast after the other without having to move that dial!!

 12105   NTH MARIANAS.  RFA - Agingan Pt. Burmese here now at 1310, NF and perhaps ex 9335 Tinian, fair signal on Oct 28.
