Still MORE New Frequency Changes!


Still plenty of new frequency allocations being discovered for the B13 transmission period.  Since the B13 period began three weeks ago, I've now noted more than 180 NF's! Here's the latest changes noted up to November 21.

6030   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti. 30-min Ukrainian service from 2000 (and one-hour later for B13), NF ex 5910, fair level on Nov 20.

 6155  BELARUS.  R. Belarus - Minsk. Listed in some circles as German but sounded like French on this day (Thurs) at 1945. A fairly strong carrier but the audio was well down, plus a powerful CRI on 6160, making listening quite difficult. Later at 2000, it gets squashed by CRI's Russian service co-channel. Believed to be a NF ex 7255 to Eu, Nov 21.

6155   CHINA.  CRI - Beijing.  Russian service at 2000 s/on, NF ex 9525 and fair level on Nov 21.

6165   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad. S/on 2020 with Spanish service to SEu, NF ex 7315, good signal on Nov 21.

 6170   KOREA (D.P.R.)   VoKorea (KCBS) - Kujang.  Vigorous commentary in Korean service to Eu at 2005, NF and seems to be ex 9425 (although several lists have still got it recorded on that freq). Strong level on Nov 21.

 6195   GERMANY.  AWR - Nauen.  French service to NAf, NF ex 9610. Solid signal on Nov 21.

7235   ENGLAND.  IBRA Radio - Woofferton.  Minority WAf languages at 1953 to s/off 1957, NF ex 11875, fair on Nov 20.

7235   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti. Spanish to SEu at s/on 2000, NF and good signal on Nov 20.

 7315   CHINA.  CRI - Urumqi. Serbian service to Eu noted 2020 to s/off 2027, NF ex 7355, fair level on Nov 21.



 9390   FRANCE.  R. Algerienne - Issoudun. Qu'ran at 2017, powerful NF for B13, but slight co-channel QRM from VOA-Ban Dung in  Korean on Nov 20. Suddenly off at 2058 in the middle of a song. Then a minute later fires up again next door on 9395 kHz with the same song. ID 2101 then news. Don't know why they make this move 5 kHz up - they'd be better to sit on 9395 and avoid VOA altogether. Also, VOA signs off at 2100 anyway!


9440   ARMENIA. DW - Erevan. S/on 1330 in Dari to Afghanistan, NF ex Kranji-15595, good signal but with QRM CRI's Esperanto service co-channel on Nov 18. Aoki is listing this as from the Dhabayya site, but it's registered for Erevan. The audio is not as clean as is usually the case from Dhabayya (rough and hummy), so I suspect that it is Erevan……but I'm guessing.

9450   JAPAN.  NHK - Yamata. NF for the Japanese service to ME at 1410, but cops the CNR 1 jammer for Sound of Hope. However, may not be  problem for ME listeners. Nov 18.

9460   ASCENSION IS. BBC - Ascension. The one-hour English service to W & CAf is now here as noted at 0625, NF on Nov 19, but at a poor strength.

9535   GERMANY.  AWR - Nauen.  Arabic service 1947 to 1958 s/off. NF to NAf but high QRM here from co-channel CRI's Portuguese service to EAf. I expect that African listeners would be experiencing the same problem on Nov 20!

 9690   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn.  Hausa service to WAf at 1910, NF ex 11955. Strong signal until s/off 1926, Nov 21.

9725   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tignaesti. Mandarin service 1415, NF ex 15435, fair level and not as good as // 11825, Nov 18.

9800   RWANDA. DW - Kigali.  Appears to have reduced their hour-long English service on this freq to just 30 min from 0500. Portuguese now noted here at 0530 to 0558 s/off, ex 11800. Poor signal Nov 19.


9940   MOLDOVA.  R. Miraya - Kichinev.  English "Breakfast Show" program at 0525 concerning a new caravan traveling around South Sudan as an outreach adjunct to R. Miraya's community services. NF ex 11560, but is a poor signal at this time of year for reception in south eastern Australia, Nov 19.

11690.60   UZBEKISTAN.  NHK - Tashkent. S/on 1400 English to SAs, NF ex 11695????. Strange to be 0.6 kHz off frequency and  so creating a het with Havana on 11690.  Nov 18.

11825   ROMANIA.  RRI - Tiganesti. Mandarin service now here at 1415, NF ex 17860, good signal on Nov 18.

11830   SOUTH AFRICA.  AWR - Meyerton.  30-min English service to EAf now here at 1830 s/on, NF ex 11840, fair to good level, Nov 20.

 11860   FRANCE.  AWR - Issoudun. The Wolof service to WAf now here s/on 1900, NF ex 11945. Fair signal on Nov 21.

11880   CHINA.  CRI - Kashi. English to WAs at 0610. NF and believed to be ex 11895, poor on Nov 19.

11925   PALAU.  NHK - Medorn, S/on 1400 English to SEA, NF ex 11705, good signal on Nov 18.

12070   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali.  English service to EAf at 1915, then into Portuguese 1930. NF and a big signal on Nov 20.

13580   SRI LANKA.  VOA - Iranawila. Somali service to EAf at 1325, many mentions of Somalia, NF ex 15170, Nov 18.

15240   AUSTRIA.  AWR - Moosbrunn. French to CAf at 1930-2000, NF ex 15220, poor on Nov 20.

15275   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali. English service at 1920-2000, NF and runs // 12070 until 1930, very solid signal, Nov 20.



 15385   SPAIN.  REE - Noblejas.  Portuguese service now here at 1910, NF ex the 2100 UTC service on 17595. A program of Bossa music for the SAm clientele! HFCC and Eibi says Spanish, but this appears wrong….at least on Nov 20! Good level and no sign of KJES. 



 15480   MADAGASCAR.  AWR - Talata Volonondry. Arabic to ME noted at 1925, NF and believed to be ex Nauen-15260, fair and fluttery on  Nov 20.
15480   TURKEY.  VoTurkey - Emirler. Turkist service noted just before s/off at 1256 with ID and frequency annct. NF for B13, very solid signal Nov 18.

15480   GERMANY.  AWR - Nauen. Booming signal at s/on 1300 with multi-language IDs and then in Mandarin. This is a Mon-Fri service, and the weekends are in the Uyghur language. NF ex 17810, Nov 18.

15640   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.  DW - Dhabayya. S/on 1330 in Dari to Afghanistan, NF ex 15215, big signal on Nov 18.

17800   RWANDA.  DW - Kigali.  S/on 1330 in Dari to Afghanistan, NF ex 17860, fair to poor signal on Nov 18.

21510   IRAN.  VOIRI - Kamalabad. English service to SAs 1105 with Listeners Mail program, NF ex  21505, strong signal and // 21640 on Nov 17.
