A14 SCHEDULE CHANGES - PART 2


60 additional schedule changes  to join the previous list posted here in the MEDXR blog last week. I hope you find these notes helpful in your listening endeavours.

 7250   INDIA. AIR - Panaji. There appears to be a serious txer fault here with a loud high-pitched squealing tone accompanying the audio in their Malayalam service at 1735. Pity, as it was a lovely strong signal but listening was difficult through this noise. Apr 10.

7265   CHINA. CRI - Urumqi. English to ME at 1738, NF and appears to replace the Russian service previously scheduled at this time during B13, good signal Apr 10.

7350   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Russian service with news at 1745 till suddenly off at 1750 mid-sentence at the end of the broadcast. Poor level and QRM CNR 1 7345 on Apr 10.

7360   TURKEY. VoTurkey - Emirler. French service to EAf at 1754, NF ex 9620 and now one hr earlier, fair signal Apr 10.

7365   GERMANY. VOA - Biblis. Kurdish to ME at 1725, NF ex 9655, fair with light QRM CNR 1 on Apr 7.

7375   OMAN. BBC - A'Seela. English news at 1803, NF and fair signal in the clear on Apr 10.

7385   CHINA. CRI - Urumqi. Mandarin to WAf at 1810, NF ex 7275 and probably to avoid KBS's English to Eu on that freq; good level and now in the clear. KBS on 7275 is also easily heard as well. Everyone's a winner!! Apr 10.

7410   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Caught the last of the German service to Eu at 1815 to s/off 1820, NF ex 6205 and fair on Apr 10.

7415   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. Farsi to Iran, at 1821 to s/off 1827, NF ex 7325 and good signal Apr 10.

7425   THAILAND.  BBC - Nakhon Sawan. Dari service at 1830 with ID and music, NF ex 7505, solid signal Apr 10.

7425   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Spanish to SEu at 2042, NF ex 6165, and excellent signal on Apr 11.

7445   MADAGASCAR. BBC - Talata Volonondry. WS English to EAf at 1832, NF and perhaps ex 12095-Mahe, very good signal Apr 10.

9430   CHINA. CRI - Urumqi. French to SEu at s/on 2030, NF ex 7350 (although that freq is still used up until 2030 as per B13 schedule), good on Apr 11.

9480   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Spanish to SEu at 2040, NF ex 7450, fair to good on Apr 11.

9540   SINGAPORE. RA - Kranji. 30-min English service to SEAs s/on 1600, NF ex 9580, strong on Apr 7.

9540   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Japanese s/on 2050, NF ex 5965 and excellent on Apr 11.

9550   GERMANY. Bible Voice - Nauen. S/on 0430 in Arabic to ME, NF ex 5980 and a fair signal on Apr 7.

9610   NTH MARIANA IS. RFA - Tinian. Korean to EAs at 2103, NF ex 9385, fair with slight jamming present Apr 11.

9620   BOTSWANA. VOA - Moepeng Hill. French to Af at 2112 on weekdays only, previously Woofferton for B13, fair signal Apr 11.

9645   VATICAN. Vatican R. - SM Galeria. Arabic service to ME now here at 0425, to s/off 0430, ex 0500-0530 from B13, weak on Apr 7 but will improve as we approach the winter months.

9655   RWANDA. DW - Kigali. English to WAf at 2115, NF ex 9800 but QRM RA-Brandon 9660, Apr 11.

9675   SAO TOME. VOA - Pinheira. French to EAf at 2117, NF ex 9815 and weak but in the clear Apr 11.

9690   KUWAIT. RFA - Kuwait. Mandarin service 2108, NF and with CNR jamming, Apr 11.

9720   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. S/on 2120 Bosnian to Eu, NF ex 5950 and fair signal Apr 11.

9750   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Kurdish service to ME at 0405 until s/off 0422. NF and I suspect this might be ex 9610 and one hr earlier than B13. Fair to weak level on Apr 7.

9790   PHILIPPINES. R. Ashna - Tinang. Pashto service at 1720, NF ex 9770-Nauen, fair on Apr 7.

9830   IRAN - Kamalabad. Albanian service at 2045, NF ex 9830 but poor and severe QRM CNR 1 co-channel, Apr 11.

9955   USA. R. Slovakia Intl. - Okeechobee. Spanish to SAm at 0435 to 0500 s/off. New time, now one hr earlier, fair to poor signal Apr 7.

11560   MOLDOVA. R. Miraya - Kichinev. Pleased to see this one back on 25mb for the A14 period. I missed listening to it when it shifted to 9940 kHz for B13 - just doesn't make it here on that freq in the Aussie summer. I enjoy the programming, fabulous music for their "Breakfast Show"!! Language is Arabic but plenty of English can also heard at various times. Good signal at 0440 on Apr 7 and will get stronger here over the coming weeks.

11625   VATICAN. Vatican R. - SM Galeria. French to CAf at 0445, NF ex 7360, excellent signal on Apr 7.

11650   VATICAN. R. Dabanga - Vatican. Great signal at 0450, NF ex 7315 in Arabic to EAf. Runs // 15550 but was with about 5 seconds delay when compared with that outlet, Apr 7.

11660   IRAN. VOIRI - Zahedan. Arabic radio theatre at 0510, NF ex 9895 to ME, and good level on Apr 7.

11685   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Bosnian s/on 2121, NF ex 9590 and fair Apr 11.

11710   ALBANIA. CRI - Cerrik. English news to NAf at 0515, NF ex 7220 and strong on Apr 7.

11750   GUAM. KSDA - Agat.  Mandarin at 2145, NF with lots of echo from multi-path signals, Apr 11.

11760   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Azerbaijani service at 0517 to s/off 0523, NF ex 7260, fair level on Apr 7.

11760   CUBA. R. Havana. Spanish at 2153, impressive signal and NF on Apr 11.

11775   ALBANIA. CRI - Cerrik. Arabic service to NAf at 0532, NF ex 9590. It has also made a small target change compared to the B13 period - previously 140˚ beamed to ME, now 240˚ aimed at NAf. However, I expect that ME listeners would still find this is OK for them. Solid signal on Apr 7.

11790   GUAM. KSDA - Agat. Impassioned Korean at 2150, NF ex 9890, fair on Apr 11.

11800   RWANDA. DW - Kigali. Portuguese to SAf at 0545, NF and possibly ex 5905-Ascension (but I'm not sure about that!). Very good signal on Apr 7.

11830   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Japanese service at 2055, NF ex 7365 and strong on Apr 11.

11835   SAO TOME. VOA - Pinheira. Swahili to EAf at 1652 to s/off 1700, NF ex 13755-Moepeng Hill and // 15265, weak signal on Apr 7.

11835   TURKEY. VoTurkey - Emirler. German to Eu s/on 1730, NF ex 7205 and one hr earlier on Apr 7.

11845   VATICAN. VOA - SM Galeria. S/on 1700 English to WAf, NF and fair level on Apr 7.

11850   GERMANY. RFE/RL - Lampertheim. Big signal for the Russian service at 0547, NF ex 7435, Apr 7.

11865   KOREA D.P.R.K.  VoKorea - Kujang. Japanese service at 2215, NF ex 7580, fair and fluttery on Apr 11.

11930   BELARUS. Belaruskaje Rady Jo - Minsk. Belarusian national programming with rock songs and contrasting serious talks at 0550, time pips at 0600, ID and news. This NF appears to be ex 7255, fair signal on Apr 7.

11940   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. English to EAs, 2225, NF and good signal on Apr 11.

11955   RWANDA. DW - Kigali. Portuguese to SAf at 0540, NF ex 9800 but quite a weak signal, // 11800 where it is much stronger, Apr 7.

11955   TURKEY. VoTurkey - Emirler. Turkish service scheduled s/on 0600, first noted 0604 with news, NF ex 9820, fair signal on Apr 7.

11985   FRANCE. R. Algerienne - Issoudun. French to WAf at 0612, NF and very strong on Apr 7.

12055   VATICAN. VOA - SM Galeria. Somali to EAf at 1715, NF and a booming signal, // 13680 but much weaker there, Apr 7.

12095   SOUTH AFRICA. BBC - Meyerton. English to EAf at 1640, new site ex Mahe, poor level with multi-path echo on Apr 7.

12130   KUWAIT. R. Mashaal - Kuwait. Pashto service between 0600 and 0700. During B13, this hour was via Iranawila, fair with ute QRM, Apr 7.

13680   KUWAIT. VOA - Kuwait. Somali service to EAf at 1710, NF ex 13580-Iranawila, fair on Apr 7.

15150   AUSTRIA. AWR - Moosbrunn. Farsi to Iran, NF ex 9830 and excellent on Apr 7.

15260   AUSTRIA. AWR - Moosbrunn. Urdu service to Afghanistan at 1615 to s/off 1630, NF ex 11910, excellent level on Apr 7.

15265   KUWAIT. VOA - Kuwait. Swahili to EAf at 1647, previously from Pinheira during B13, poor on Apr 7.

15360   SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. English to SAs on Mon, Wed & Fri at 1630 s/on, NF but only at a fair level with audio hum on Apr 7.

15550   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. R. Dabanga - Dhabayya. Arabic to EAf at 0500, NF ex 15530, lovely signal on Apr 7.

25000   USA. WWV - Fort Collins CO. Peeping through with a weak but clear signal at 2140, audible only on one of my three antennas, Apr 11.
