A14 SCHEDULE CHANGES - PART 3

Here is the third and final part of new frequency and schedule changes for the start of the A14 season, as monitored here at Mount Evelyn. There are 63 observations here to add to the Part 1 and Part 2 blog posts previously published here. This is, by no means, a complete list of all possible schedule changes - simply the ones noted here at my location over the past two weeks. I hope you find these useful.

9455   AUSTRIA. AWR - Moosbrunn. S/on 0400 Turkish to ME. I could be wrong but this seems to be an additional service in Turkish (the other broadcast being at 1500 on 11935 which is also Moosbrunn). Currently, a poor signal but should improve with the coming winter months, Apr 17.

9535   CHINA. CRI - Xian. Japanese service at 2235, NF ex 5985, weak on Apr 15.

9570   THAILAND. VOA - Ban Dung. English to EAs at 2317, NF and weak on Apr 14.

9885   SAO TOME. VOA - Pinheira. Hausa to WAf on Sats only at 2055 to s/off 2101, NF ex 9815, poor on Apr 12.

11620   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. Vietnamese service to SEAs at 2330, NF ex 9415 and poor reception on Apr 14.

11660   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Mandarin to EAs at 2340, NF ex 6110, poor signal, // 11865 and much better there on Apr 14.

11705   PALAU. NHK - Medorn. Indonesian to SEAs at 1350 to s/off 1400, NF ex 11925 and fair level on Apr 13.

11750   THAILAND. BBC - Nakhon Sawan. S/on 1200 English to EAs, NF and probably ex 11895, a weak signal at the start of the transmission but stronger by 1225 on Apr 13.

11750   VATICAN. VOA - SM Galeria. Somali to EAf at 0340, previously from Iranawila for B13, fair to poor on Apr 17.

11795   ROMANIA. RRI - Galbeni. Seems to be a NF here for Spanish to SAm at 2346 to s/off 2356, fair on Apr 14.

11825   PHILIPPINES. VOA - Tinang. Mandarin to EAs at 1240, NF and poor under a very strong CNR 1 jammer on Apr 13.

11840   PHILIPPINES. VOA - Tinang. English to EAs at 2310, NF and fair strength on Apr 14.

11845   SRI LANKA. AWR - Troncomalee. Service to SEAs in the Asho Chin language at 1415, NF ex 15770-Guam, strong on Apr 13. Asho Chin is spoken by around 30,000 people in Myanmar (especially in the Rakhine State), and an additional 4,000 people globally, including Bangladesh. There are also a number of dialects attached to this language.

11850   SINGAPORE. BBC - Kranji. English at 2317 to s/off 0000, NF and good on Apr 14.

11865   IRAN. VOIRI - Kamalabad. Mandarin to SEAs at 2343, NF ex 7325 and good signal on Apr 14.

11900   SRI LANKA. VOA - Iranawila. French to Af on Sats/Suns only noted at 2050, NF ex 11840 and very good signal on Apr 12.

11915   SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. Mandarin to EAs at 1405, NF for the A14 season and a very good signal on Apr 13.

11955   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. English to ENAm at 0005, NF and a poor signal mumbling under the stronger BBC-Kranji also in English on Apr 15.

12010  GUAM. KSDA - Agat. AWR programming in Mandarin at 1152 to s/off 1159, NF and QRM Havana co-channel on Apr 13.

12010  SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. S/on 1230 in the listed Meitei to SAs on Suns, NF ex 15430, fair level and about equal strength to co-channel Havana on Apr 13.

12015   KOREA D.P.R.K.. VoKorea - Kujang. Seems to be running KCBS programming here now at 2015, ex French service as per B13, good level Apr 12.

12075   PHILIPPINES. VOA - Tinang. English to EAs at 1235, NF ex 11750 and good signal on Apr 13.

13580   EGYPT. R. Cairo - Abis. French to WAf at 2225, NF ex 15205, weak signal and usual distorted audio on Apr 15.

13585   UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. KBS World R. - Dhabayya. Arabic s/on 2000 to NAf and ME, NF ex  9840, fair to poor level with flutter fading, Apr 12.

13605   USA. R.Marti - Greenville. A weak Spanish signal peeping through at 1940, NF ex 13820 on Apr 12.

13640   CHINA. CRI - Jinhua. Japanese service at 2230, NF ex 7440-Beijing and good on Apr 15

13650   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. English "VoJustice" programming at s/on 0320, NF and good signal Apr 17.

13660   ENGLAND. BBC - Woofferton. English to WAf at 1915. In the B13 period, this was Arabic via Dhabayya to EAf. Good signal but with deep fades, Apr 12.

13660   RWANDA. BBC - Kigali. English to ME at 0325, NF ex 12035, poor level on Apr 17

13660   ASCENSION IS. versus CHINA. BBC - Ascension in English to WAf (0700-0800) versus CRI - Xian in English to SEAs (0600-0800). Both seem to have moved to this freq for the A14 season, and the clash from 0700 sees both stations here at Mount Evelyn at about equal interfering strength. Although this may not be a problem for the respective target areas, there are so many vacant freqs available in the 22 metre band at this time that it makes any clash totally unnecessary! Apr 13.

13680   JAPAN. NHK - Yamata. Japanese to SEAs at 2245, NF and fair on Apr 15.

13680   BOTSWANA. VOA - Moepeng Hill. Somali to EAf at 0335, NF and weak on Apr 17.

13740   NTH MARIANA IS. RFA - Agingan Pt. Cambodian service to SEAs at 2203, NF ex 11850 and weak signal on Apr 14.

13740   IRAN. VOIRI - Ahwaz. Dari service at 0350, NF ex 11740, weak signal on Apr 17.

13750   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. English to EAs at 0033, NF and I suspect this replaces 9425, poor signal on Apr 15.

13750   IRAN. VOIRI - Sirjan. Swahili with Qur'an at 0355, NF and possibly ex 15260, fair on Apr 17.

13760   KOREA D.P.R.K. VoKorea - Kujang. Spanish to Eu now here at 1910 till s/off 1956, then cranks up again at 2000 for French.  NF ex 7570 and runs // 12015 also heard, Apr 12. Also English at 2120, NF and fair level, runs // 15245 where it was stronger, Apr 15.

13770   CHINA. CRI - Xian. Vietnamese to SEAs at 0041, NF ex 13680 and fair on Apr 15.

15100   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. Big signal at 0046 in the Hakka service to the Philippines, NF ex 9860 on Apr 15.

15120   NTH MARIANA IS. RFA - Tinian. Chinese at 2203, NF for this time slot and heavily covered by CNR 1 on Apr 15.

15125   CHINA. CRI - Beijing. English to SEAs at 0050, NF and seems to be ex 15145, fair on Apr 15.

15130   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. Romanian to NAf at 1220, NF and quite weak on Apr 13. HFCC registered at Tiganesti but Aoki is listing it as Galbeni.

15160   SPAIN. REE - Noblejas. Big signal for this NF in Spanish at 0055 to SAm, then squashed by an even bigger signal from RA-Shepparton at 0100, although REE was still well heard underneath, Apr 15.

15205   THAILAND. VOA - Ban Dung. English s/on 0100 to SAs, NF ex 11895, fair on Apr 15.

15215   SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. Mandarin at 0017, NF and perhaps ex 17520-Guam?. Good on Apr 15. 

15215   GUAM. KSDA - Agat. AWR Mandarin programming at 2208, NF for this time slot and fir strength on Apr 15.

15245   KOREA D.P.R.K. VoKorea - Kujang. French service to Eu at 2010, NF ex 12015 and // 13760 also heard, poor level on Apr 12. Also English at 2120, NF and good signal Apr 15.

15300   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. Spanish to SAm at 2126, NF and good level on Apr 15.

15320   SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. Khmer service on Sundays at 1315, NF and fair but rapid fading on Apr 13.

15355   OMAN. R. Sultanate of Oman - Thumrayt. On earlier than the scheduled 2200, noted at 2115 with Arabic programming, fair on Apr 15.

15420   SOUTH AFRICA. BBC - Meyerton. Somali to EAf at 1400 s/on, new site for this service ex Mahe, weak signal on Apr 13.

15430   SRI LANKA. AWR - Trincomalee. Thai dialects to SEAs at 1340, NF ex 15770-Guam, fair signal on Apr 13.

15435   GUAM. KSDA - Agat. English to Indonesia at 2212 (English - Sun, Tues, Thurs only. Sundanese on the remainder of the week). NF and fair on Apr 15.

15570   VATICAN. Vatican R - SM Galeria. French to WAf at 2040, NF ex 11625, solid signal and // 13765 on Apr 12.

15730   VOA - Greenville. Hausa to Af on Sats only at 2045, NF and possibly ex 15225-Moepeng Hill. Also scheduled to run French on Suns only at this time. Good signal Apr 12.

17650   GUAM. AWR - Agat. Thai service to SEAs at 0023 to s/off 0029, NF and possibly ex 15150? Fair on Apr 15.

17670   ROMANIA. RRI - Galbeni. English service to EAf at 1145 to s/off 1200, NF ex 17765 and one hr earlier on Apr 13.

17715   SPAIN. REE - Noblejas. Seems to run extended times on Sats at 2110, with sportscasters going mental when a goal is kicked - funny stuff! // 17755 and 17850. Fair to poor on Apr 12.

17745   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. Spanish to SAm at 2115, NF ex 9790 and on one hr earlier for A14, excellent signal Apr 12.

17760   THAILAND. BBC - Nakhon Sawan. English service to EAs at 1135, NF and possibly ex 11895, weak and fluttery on Apr 13.

17790   OMAN. BBC - A'Seela. English service to SAs at 1330 to s/off 1400, NF and fair strength with deep fades on Apr 13.

17810   GERMANY. AWR - Nauen. Mandarin service at 1345, NF ex 15480 and a massive signal on Apr 13.

17860   AUSTRALIA. R. A - Shepparton. S/on 2100 English to SPac, NF Apr 15.
