REVIEW: ALPHA DELTA ASC ANTENNA COAX SWITCH

PRODUCT REVIEW:

ALPHA DELTA ASC ANTENNA COAX SWITCH

(Original 2015 post updated: Oct 22, 2018)

I use a fabulous antenna switch in my radio shack. It's made by Alpha Delta Communications, Inc in the U.S.A. The model is the ASC Delta-4 and it's a really sturdy unit that should last a lifetime! You can switch up to four antennas and it has some inbuilt lightning protection. However, in reality, probably only protection from static buildup on the antenna, as a direct and powerful lightning hit could still prove pretty devastating. If you are running multiple antennas into your shack, this switch or any of the other models offered by Alpha Delta Communications are well worth considering. I'm very happy with my addition to the shack.

Here is a YouTube video I have prepared with more information on this product, along with some actual "on air" examples of the switch in use. Best viewed in 720p HD. Also below, I have taken some close-up photos for you.

I hope you found this review of interest. More information can be obtained from www.alphadeltacom.com

73 and good DX!!

  1. Might be nice to list any average pricing and where-to-buy possibilities. Found average pricing range is $59 to $99 depending on model.

    1. Thanks for your suggestion. I don't usually list prices, as this blog has many readers in different parts of the world. Prices would vary greatly depending on shipping costs, where the items were purchased, and foreign exchange rates at the time. I imported my Alpha Delta 4-position desk console switch from DX Engineering in the USA. It retails for US$149.95. Yes, it's more expensive than many other units, but as I said, it will last for years (plus it has the lightening protection device). 73, Rob
