Voice of Nigeria back on 7255 kHz


 7254.93   NIGERIA. Voice of Nigeria - Abuja. Pre-s/on with native wind instrument music at 0555 UTC. ID and sign on anncts at 0600 in Hausa, then news reports. Back here after a few days on 9690 kHz at this time. A very good signal despite Geo-storm activity and a K-index of 5. Sept 11.

 Here's how it sounded today at around 0620 UTC.

      Thanks, Rickie. Yes, I was surprised by the strength of the signal, considering the solar storm conditions we have been suffering in the last 24 hours. The fading was deep at times and background atmospheric noise was high, indicating that prop conditions were not great, but the signal still came through quite well. 73.
