B18 TRANSMISSION SEASON



On November 13, 2018, I filmed a scan of the 49-metre shortwave band between 2005 and 2015 UTC from the Mount Evelyn radio shack. This is 7:05 to 7:15 am AEDT and the band proved to be quite busy. This video scan was my first for the new B18 transmission season.

 The YouTube video below demonstrates the receiving facilities in the Yaesu FTDX3000 transceiver. The audio on the video was taken directly from the receiver's external speaker jack, put through the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer and directly into the camera's external microphone jack. The camera used for this recording was the Nikon D800 with a 105mm f2.8 lens.
