THE BLOG IS BACK!
Hi Folks,
Thank you to those who have expressed concern about my absence from this blog for the past three months. Your messages and good wishes have been much appreciated. The truth is that it was time to take a break, attend to more important things, and put some perspective back into my life.
• My health has been a bit wobbly recently, involving some ongoing medical issues.
• Family always comes first! We have had some important family interactions that required my full attention.
• I have been running the blog for nearly ten years without a break - it was time to take one now.
• Facebook is a beast that can sometimes be a minefield. For the sake of my sanity, I needed to give it a rest for a while!
• I learned that a well-known DXer in another part of the world was speaking about me in less than complimentary terms behind my back. This is a hobby for me - a hobby I enjoy and care about greatly. I have no time for people who spread lies and play silly mind games. Life is too short and too precious to waste energy on that nonsense!
While resting, I have still been writing the occasional World of Shortwave Listening column for The Spectrum Monitor magazine. My last column was in April and the next is coming up in August.
So, I am now in a happier frame of mind, feeling more refreshed and ready to tackle the blog again. Yippee! 😁 You will find some new articles appearing here during this month.
Once again, thanks for your lovely emails and messages of support.
73 and good DX to you all,

Glad you are back in the saddle as we say. Maybe it’s the kangaroo pouch but you get the idea! 😀. Good DXing.
