DX TRIP TO KURTH KILN RESERVE

DX TRIP TO KURTH KILN RESERVE

I'm back!

It's been several months since I posted on this blog. I have been unwell during this time with hospital visits and surgeries (....and, unfortunately, more to come!).

My advice: Don't get old! It's overrated!!  ðŸ˜œ

But I needed to return to the great Aussie bush and do some DXing. So, I did a short trip on October 31, 2023, just after the commencement of the B23 transmission season. I took the ever-reliable Tecsun PL680 and a reel of wire out to Kurth Kiln Reserve, about 90 minutes from my home QTH. In under one hour of listening, I found there was plenty to hear on the bands, including some very weak signals that I wouldn't normally hear at home.

Check out the video below:

Thanks for watching!

73 and good DX to you all

    1. Thanks, Steve. Still got a long road to travel with five days/week for six weeks of radiation treatments planned for early next year. I'll be 70 next May. Happy birthday, Steve - have a great day! 73 de Rob VK3BVW
