3250   D.P.R.KOREA. KCBS - Pyongyang. 1105 Korean with commentary and music from a choir and orchestra. Fair signal. Also heard  // 6100 (clashing with the co-channel CRI Mongolian service) and 11680, where it was the strongest. Jan 11.

3480   KOREA REP. Voice of the People - Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. 1120 Korean commentaries. Good signal and no jamming. // 3910 (light jamming), 3930 (heavier jamming), 4450 (siren jamming), 4560 (no jamming), 6520 (heavy jamming), and 6600 (jamming) were all heard with reasonably good signals. Jan 11. 

4755   INDONESIA. VoIndonesia - Cimanggis. 1132 Mandarin with music programming. Fair signal, Jan 11.

4990   CHINA. Hunan RTV - Xiangtan, Hunan Province. 1140 Mandarin with long talks. Low-powered 10 kW outlet, fair to poor signal, Jan 11.

9275   USA. WMLK - Bethel PA. 2318 Booming signal with the usual American preaching, Jan 9.  




9405   PHILIPPINES. FEBC R. Liangyou - Bocaue. 2310 Mandarin to EAs with lengthy modern choral selections. Weak signal, but it is interesting to hear it in unusual mid-morning summer propagation. Jan 9. 

9580   PHILIPPINES. BBC - Tinang. 2250 WS English to Indonesia, good signal until s/off 2259. Jan 9. 

9650   TURKEY. VoTurkey - Emirler. 0605 Turkish to Eu, very good signal. // 11660 to ME but weaker there, Jan 10.

13825   TAIWAN. R. Taiwan Int’l - Paochung. *1030 to 1100* Hakka service to SEAs, excellent signal, Jan 11.

NEW 13855   ALGERIA. Ifrikya FM - Ouargla. 2040 African rhythms, 2043 ID in French, 2044 Arabic talk with background Algerian music. Fair signal for this NF, Jan 18.

15105   D.P.R.KOREA. VoKorea - Kujang. 0350 test tone, 0300 IS, then ID in Mandarin to SEAs, fair to poor signal, Jan 11.


15110   PHILIPPINES. R. Free Asia - Tinang. 0120 Burmese to Myanmar with news reports. Weak signal to s/off 0130. // 15245 via Paochung also heard with a similarly weak signal. And again, 15245 via Paochung at *0200-0300* heard again with still a weak signal. Jan 10.

15235   TURKEY. VoTurkey - Emirler. 0610 Hausa to CAf with Turkish songs. Fair signal, Jan 10.

15260   INDIA. Akashvani - Bengaluru. 0205 English “Spotlight” news segment in the Indonesian service to SEAs. Back into Indonesian programming at 0215. A squealing transmitter made listening difficult even though the signal was very strong. Jan 10.

15295   GUAM. KSDA - Facpi Point. 1020 Mandarin to EAs with AWR preaching. Fair signal, Jan 11.

15310   OMAN. BBC - Al’Seela. 1015 Pashto to AFG/SAs, anncts and SAs music. Fair to poor signal and much stronger on // 17810, Jan 11.



15490   MADAGASCAR. BBC - Talata Volonondry. 0616 English WS to EAf with an interview. Break in transmission 0617 for one full minute before returning with a fair signal, Jan 10.

15640   PHILIPPINES. R. Pilipinas - Tinang. 0310 English news to ME, fair signal, Jan 11.

15680   PALAU. Hope R. - Medorn. 0310 English on Sat with preaching. S/off 0320, which is a little later than some DX lists advise. Fair signal, Jan 11.



15765   THAILAND. R. Mashaal - Ban Dung. 1010 Pashto to Pakistan with anncts and background SAs music. Fair signal with the absence of the CNR 1 DRM hash that is usually spraying out from 15760. It runs // 17880 via Galbeni, which is much stronger. Jan 11.

15770   USA. Supreme Master TV - Okeechobee, FL. 0330 English with health advice. Occasional IDs. Fair signal, Jan 11.

17600   ALGERIA. Ifrikya FM - Bechar. 0954 Groovy NAf song. 1000 News headlines in French. Fair to poor signal, Jan 11.

17640   ROMANIA. RRI - Tiganesti. *1000-1056* with its Sunday-only service in Romanian (Curierul romanesc) to NAf and ME. Big signal. // 17800 also heard with an excellent signal.  Jan 12.

17810   OMAN. BBC - Al’Seela. 0950 Dari to SAs, fair signal, Jan 11.

17865   U.A.E. IBRA R. - Dhabayya. 0946 Dari to Afghistan and SAs with interview. Fair signal, Jan 11.

21690   FRANCE. R. France Int’l - Issoudun. 0940 French to CAf, weak signal until s/off 1000. Slightly stronger on the // 21580 beaming WAf, and very strong on the // 17850 to WAf. Jan 11.
